Development of Self-Questionnaire for Internal Dose Assessment by Food Ingestion

Background: The accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant increased level of anxiety related to radioactive contamination various foods sourced in Japan. Particularly, after accident, detection artificial radionuclides locally produced raised food safety concerns. In this study, radioactivity concentrations and annual ingestions <sup>40</sup>K <sup>137</sup>Cs products commonly frequently consumed by general public were investigated, effective dose each was evaluated.Materials Methods: 2016–2018 data from Radiation Safety Management Report released Korea Nuclear Technology Center referenced for evaluation amounts contained food. Using food-ingestion survey mentioned above as a reference, we selected 62 include our concentration assessment. We also developed questionnaire evaluated responses subjects who answered questionnaire.Results Discussion: found be close or below minimum detectable activity. Additionally, ingestion 294.77 kg/yr, doses 136.4 0.163 μSv/yr, respectively.Conclusion: Thus, findings confirmed that tends lower than limit 1 mSv/yr suggested International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) Publication 60. study is expected useful estimating status Korean adults consume containing <sup>137</sup>Cs.
